The expansion of U.S. sanctions against Russia will not affect the activity of the companies subjected to them, and the administration of the U.S. President Barack Obama is only affecting its own country with these steps, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on December 25, 2016.
“They can’t bring us down with sanctions. The Russian companies linked to Crimea, the enterprises of the agricultural, the energy, and the military-industrial complex, as well as the Tempbank that cooperates with [our] Syrian partners, which the outgoing U.S. administration has turned against, will continue to work normally. The administration once again presents itself in poor light,” the Ministry said in a commentary posted on its website.
